The League of Legends World Championships are coming back to North America.
Riot Games announced Tuesday the sites for this year’s world championships, which begin Sept. 29. The monthlong tournament will span four cities, with the finals slated for Oct. 29 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
The tournament starts Sept. 29 with the group stage in San Francisco, Calif. The quarterfinals will take place Oct. 13-16 in Chicago, with the semifinals the next week in Madison Square Garden in New York City.
The world championships were last held in North America in 2013 (Los Angeles).
Riot also announced Tuesday the site for the Mid-Season Invitational in May, which will be held in Shanghai. It will be Riot’s first major event in China since the 2013 all star event, according to the announcement. The MSI will run May 4-15.
Tickets for both events will go on sale at a later date, according to the announcements.
