Slingshot Readers,

We NEED your support. More specifically, the author of this article needs your support. If you've been enjoying our content, you know that a lot of work goes into our stories and although it may be a work of passion, writers gotta eat. If just half our readers gave 1 DOLLAR a month, one measly dollar, we could fund all the work from StuChiu, DeKay, Emily, Andrew (and even Vince). If you contribute 5 DOLLARS a month, we invite you to join our Discord and hang with the team. We wouldn't bother you like this if we didn't need your help and you can feel good knowing that 100% of your donation goes to the writers. We'd really appreciate your support. Eight teams invited to DreamHack Malmo European closed qualifier

Eight teams have accepted invites into the closed European qualifier for DreamHack Malmo.

Team Dignitas, SK Gaming, Vexed Gaming, E-Frag.net eSports Club, mousesports, G2 Esports, Flipsid3 Tactics ESP and Lounge Gaming will attend the March 13 qualifier. They’ll play a best-of-three, single-elimination tournament with eight other teams advancing from an open qualifier the day before.

The eight teams “have been invited based on past results and current form,” according to a release. The two finalists from the closed qualifier will earn bids to DreamHack Malmo, a $250,000 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament that runs April 16-17.

Five qualifying spots remain as Team Liquid, Counter Logic Gaming and Tempo Storm have earned bids, joining invited teams Fnatic, Ninjas in Pyjamas, EnVyUs, Luminosity, Astralis, Virtus.pro, Natus Vincere and FaZe Clan.

Two more teams will earn bids from the second European Qualifier on March 19-20, and one will come out of the Asian Qualifier on March 12-13.
