KT Rolster has signed on Heo “Pawn” Won-seok and Song “Smeb” Kyung-ho for their 2017 roster.

The announcement of EDward Gaming’s previous mid laner and the ROX Tigers’ star top laner will be part of KT was made on Tuesday through their press release, writes Fomos’ Park Sang-jin. This news comes after much anticipation from fans all over the world wondering where both players would end up after both their contracts came to an end in November.

Pawn has gone on to speak about his wish to join a Korean squad in search of a world championship after his final tournament in China, the Demacia Cup. He also was a member of the team for their 2015 Mid Season Invitational victory, as well as the 2016 summer split of the League of Legends Pro League victory.

Smeb is still considered to be the best top laner today, beating out SK Telecom T1’s Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok for the number one spot as Riot’s worlds top 20 list this year. There was some brief confusion as to where Smeb would go after the ROX Tigers officially said they have not resigned Kim “PraY” Jong-in, Kang “GorillA” Beom-hyun, and Lee “Kuro” Seo-haeng, while leaving his name mysteriously absent until ROX also made the announcement of his free agency through social media.

KT has also announced that their jungler Go “Score” Dong-bin has been re-signed, but has yet to make an announcement on a support position for the upcoming season.
