Slingshot Readers,

We NEED your support. More specifically, the author of this article needs your support. If you've been enjoying our content, you know that a lot of work goes into our stories and although it may be a work of passion, writers gotta eat. If just half our readers gave 1 DOLLAR a month, one measly dollar, we could fund all the work from StuChiu, DeKay, Emily, Andrew (and even Vince). If you contribute 5 DOLLARS a month, we invite you to join our Discord and hang with the team. We wouldn't bother you like this if we didn't need your help and you can feel good knowing that 100% of your donation goes to the writers. We'd really appreciate your support. After all, you're what makes all this happen. Learn more

bbq Olivers Crazy: “Starting tomorrow, I’ll make more social media posts about chicken.”

The sponsor company of the bbq Olivers gave the team a $4,400 bonus and free chicken.
The summer LCK split has been bad for the bbq Olivers, but its sponsor company has given the team a monetary bonus anyway.

The bbq Olivers earned a clean 2-0 win against the Afreeca Freecs on Wednesday after a series of losses. In the post match interview with OGN casters Lee “CloudTemplar” Hyun-woo and Kim Dong-jun, top laner Kim “Crazy” Jae-hee said that he’ll post some more chicken-related stories on his social media.

“After a while, we got a lot of coupons (from BBQ) again,” he said. “Starting tomorrow, I’ll make more social media posts about chicken.”

Crazy has apparently been one of the members on the team who has been active on social media since the the team garnered a sponsorship from Lovely BBQ and rebranded from ESC Ever. But he’s taken a small break from the chicken frenzy recently.

The full support from BBQ has turned heads not only for being the first Korean major fast food chain to enter esports, but also through fan support via the distribution of fried chicken to fans at the arena when the Olivers play.

With Wednesday’s win, the Olivers moved into fifth place in League Champions Korea.
