DreamHack Austin 2017 dates are April 28-30 at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas.

DreamHack Austin 2017 dates are April 28-30 at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas. The event will include competitions for Counter Strike: Global Offensive, Hearthstone, StarCraft 2, Street Fighter V and Super Smash Bros.

This year’s event will be the second year for DreamHack Austin. DreamHack, the Swedish-based esports event company, experimented with producing events in North America. Last year’s event in Austin was the inaugural North American DreamHack event, and DreamHack also ran an event in Montreal in August. This year includes events in Austin, Denver, Las Vegas and Montreal.

The Counter-Strike tournament features eight teams (Cloud9, G2, Gambit, Heroic, Immortals, Liquid, HellRaisers, Luminosity) and a $100,000 prize pool. Teams will play in two pools of four, with the top two from each advancing to the playoffs after a double elimination group stage.

The Hearthstone tournament offers a $25,000 prize pool with $7,500 going to the champion. The StarCraft tournament has a prize pool of $100,000 and also offers a spot in the World Championship Series. Tournament for Super Smash Bros Melee and Smash 4 will offer $10,000 prize pools.
