Relyks and Twistzz to leave Misfits; Team Liquid likely to add Twistzz

Relyks and Twistzz will leave Misfits, and Team Liquid will likely add Twistzz

North American Counter-Strike players Skyler “Relyks” Weaver and Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken will depart Misfits’ active roster, according to multiple sources. All signs point to Twistzz joining Team Liquid, as both organizations have been in talks regarding a transfer.

Twistzz has been one of the most highly sought players in North America in recent weeks, with at least four organizations inquiring on his availability, according to sources. Team Liquid has emerged as the favorite to acquire Twistzz at this time, as it looks for a replacement for Jacob “Pimp” Winneche. It is not a done deal yet, but the two organizations are expected to come to an agreement soon. If the deal with Liquid falls through, Twistzz would likely remain with Misfits.

Relyks, who has also played for Selfless and Team SoloMid in the last year, will be outright replaced on the roster, leaving two holes in Misfits’ active lineup. Misfits is in 10th place in Season 5 of the ESL Pro League after 16 maps played and narrowly missed a chance for promotion in the ECS Development League, finishing in third place.

When reached for comment, Misfits CEO Ben Spoont said “I can confirm that there will be roster changes forthcoming to Misfits’ lineup,” and added that both players are currently contracted to Misfits.
