Dignitas kicks Maikelele and pita; players practicing with pyth, SKYTTEN and FREDDyFROG

Maikelele Dignitas

Swedish Counter-Strike players Mikail “Maikelele” Bill and Faruk “Pita” Pita have been kicked from the Team Dignitas roster, according to sources close to the players. Both players have since teamed up with Jacob “pyth” Mourujärvi and Alexander “SKYTTEN” Carlsson, who practiced today with Fredrik “FREDDyFROG” Gustafsson as a fifth.

Pyth is still under contract with Ninjas in Pyjamas and would need an organization to purchase his contract to play on the new team, unless he could convince NiP to release him. It is not believed FREDDyFROG will be a permanent fifth.

Maikelele spent almost two months assembling a roster searching for an organization to sign Pita and his former teammates and finally reached an agreement with Dignitas, which was announced March 20. The former roster played a handful of official matches before the exit of Maikelele and Pita, showing clear signs of disagreement between the players.

During today’s online matches in Season 3 of the Esports Championship Series, Dignitas played with Joakim “jkaem” Myrbostad, Jorgen “cromen” Robertsen, Ricardo “fox” Pacheco, Jesper “TENZKI” Plougmann and Ruben “RUBINO” Villarroel. It is expected that this will remain as the permanent lineup going forward.

Dignitas could not immediately be reached for comment.
