Slingshot Readers,

We NEED your support. More specifically, the author of this article needs your support. If you've been enjoying our content, you know that a lot of work goes into our stories and although it may be a work of passion, writers gotta eat. If just half our readers gave 1 DOLLAR a month, one measly dollar, we could fund all the work from StuChiu, DeKay, Emily, Andrew (and even Vince). If you contribute 5 DOLLARS a month, we invite you to join our Discord and hang with the team. We wouldn't bother you like this if we didn't need your help and you can feel good knowing that 100% of your donation goes to the writers. We'd really appreciate your support. Counter Logic Gaming (CLG) announced the signing of Jake "Shake" Kaplan to its overwatch team on Saturday. CLG is in the middle of the Alienware Monthly Melee

Counter Logic Gaming made a swap on its Overwatch roster and added Jack “Shake” Kaplan as a new flex-support pick.

CLG announced Saturday the signing of Shake one day after announcing the departure of Michael “The” Kuhns. Shake was on trial with CLG for two weeks and has since moved to the Overwatch team house. Shake voiced his excitement with this new opportunity in a statement.

“I think this team has a ton of potential to grow,” he said in the statement. “I’ve been scrimming with the team for two weeks now. Just from those two weeks I already feel like this team has so much potential to be a top team and dominate the NA scene. Individually we have players that are really talented at their roles and I think our team play and just the effort that we put into improving is greater than what most other teams are putting in right now and I think that’s going to pay out for us. To all my fans and CLG fans out there, thank you for your continued support and I hope you cheer us on in our tournaments this month!”

CLG’s Overwatch team competed in the Alienware Monthly Melee on Saturday and placed second in its group with a record of 2-1. Despite a 3-0 loss to Team YIKES! 0-3, CLG is still in the running for the grand finals in the losers bracket. Its match with Selfless is tied 1-1 and postponed. It will resume Thursday.
