Slingshot Readers,

We NEED your support. More specifically, the author of this article needs your support. If you've been enjoying our content, you know that a lot of work goes into our stories and although it may be a work of passion, writers gotta eat. If just half our readers gave 1 DOLLAR a month, one measly dollar, we could fund all the work from StuChiu, DeKay, Emily, Andrew (and even Vince). If you contribute 5 DOLLARS a month, we invite you to join our Discord and hang with the team. We wouldn't bother you like this if we didn't need your help and you can feel good knowing that 100% of your donation goes to the writers. We'd really appreciate your support. After all, you're what makes all this happen. Learn more

Dignitas signs BIG, will apparently start at support in NA LCS Week 1 over Xpecial

BIG has signed with Dignitas and will start instead of Xpecial in Week 1 of the NA LCS summer split.
BIG (Terry Chuong) has signed with Dignitas and will start instead of Xpecial (Alex Chu) in Week 1 of the NA LCS summer split.

Team Dignitas will enlist Terry “BIG” Chuong as its starting support for Week 1 of the North American League of Legends Championship Series summer split.

Dignitas signed BIG, according to Riot Games’ contract database, and he will start next week’s match against Team Envy, as revealed on the game’s lolesports page. Big was listed as the starting support with Alex “Xpecial” Chu listed as a substitute.

BIG played as a substitute last year for Apex before the team’s LCS slot — along with Team Dignitas — was purchased by the Philadelphia 76ers. He most recently played Echo Fox’s Challenger team, Delta Fox, which finished fifth in the spring split of the Challenger Series.

Xpecial has endured a lengthy career. He played for Team SoloMid for three years before moving to Team Curse and Team Liquid. He spent last yeah with Apex before joining Dignitas after the acquisition.

Dignitas opens the summer split against EnVyUs at 6 p.m. June 3.
