A handful of champion and item changes in League of Legends Patch 7.11

A handful of champions and items received tweaks in League of Legends Patch 7.11.

With a new patch inevitably comes small changes here and there to make the game more balanced.  Beyond the reworks for Rek’Sai and Kindred, other small changes to champions include Dr. Mundo getting a larger attack damage growth state every level and more damage with his W, Lee Sin can now buffer his W in order to jump to placed wards even in high latency areas, Lucian’s Q costs more mana, Malphite’s E does more damage based off of his armor, and Sion’s shield comes back more quickly as well as giving him a larger shield. All these changes will go live Thursday.

Some of the items on the list of 7.11 have been controversial, changing the build paths of entire lanes at a time. Banshee’s Veil will be getting a price hike of 300 gold but also more magic resist to compensate, making it more of a late game item choice again. Blade of the Ruined King does less life steal than before, while keeping the damage numbers the same for now. Ninja Tabi will finally be nerfed after what seems like months of complaints, making it more of a viable choice than a dominant one. The comparatively weaker support item Nomad’s Medallion has a lower combine cost which means you can build it a lot quicker.

For more meta game changes, 7.11 will see simultaneous 10 bans, as was planned. Crowd control text will be removed due to redundancy, and calculation of minion kills have also been rearranged. Users will now be able to create their own item sets again, as well as now able to have access to a “Recently Played” list to see the profiles of players you’ve played with, but will probably be mostly used for blocking them.
