Slingshot Readers,

We NEED your support. More specifically, the author of this article needs your support. If you've been enjoying our content, you know that a lot of work goes into our stories and although it may be a work of passion, writers gotta eat. If just half our readers gave 1 DOLLAR a month, one measly dollar, we could fund all the work from StuChiu, DeKay, Emily, Andrew (and even Vince). If you contribute 5 DOLLARS a month, we invite you to join our Discord and hang with the team. We wouldn't bother you like this if we didn't need your help and you can feel good knowing that 100% of your donation goes to the writers. We'd really appreciate your support. New esports organization Planet Odd acquired the former Thunderbirds and Digital Chaos Dota 2 roster than finished second at The International 6.

The former Digital Chaos and Thunderbirds roster, the runners-up at The International 6 last year, have another new home.

The newly-established team Planet Odd announced Wednesday on Twitter the signing of the former members of Thunderbirds. Planet Odd launched its esports organization May 19 with teams in Hearthstone and Counter-Strike.

The Dota 2 roster features Rasmus “MiSeRy-” Filipsen, Omar “w33” Aliwi, Roman “Resolut1on” Fomynok, David “MoonMeander” Tan and Martin “Saksa” Sazdov. The team won a total of $3.4 million for its second place finish in TI 6, and most recently placed third in the recent Boston Major as members of Digital Chaos before their move to the Thunderbirds in April. The players weren’t able to replicate their success as the Thunderbirds, however, placing 15th at the Kiev Major in April, and placing third at The Summit 7 Americas Qualifier, failing to qualify.
