Tu “Ben4” Xin-Cheng, a member of Chinese League of Legends team IMAY, was suspended for making insulting and racist remarks on the Korean solo queue ladder.
The League of Legends Pro League released a statement on Weibo suspending Ben4 for using offensive language during solo queue in the Korean server. Ben4 has “repeatedly used insulting words and has cursed other players’ family members,” and was accused of making racist remarks on multiple occasions in the last few months.
Ben4 will be forced to sit out a single best-of-three match. Ben4 was still competing in the Demacia Cup at the time of the transgression, so the suspension seems to apply only to LPL games. Snake Esports’ substitute player, Wan “Mint” Kun, was also added to the statement and suspended for the same length under the same charges.
The exact words used are still unknown, and IMAY is expected to use Sung “Flaw” Yeon-jun during Ben4’s suspension.
