Slingshot Readers,

We NEED your support. More specifically, the author of this article needs your support. If you've been enjoying our content, you know that a lot of work goes into our stories and although it may be a work of passion, writers gotta eat. If just half our readers gave 1 DOLLAR a month, one measly dollar, we could fund all the work from StuChiu, DeKay, Emily, Andrew (and even Vince). If you contribute 5 DOLLARS a month, we invite you to join our Discord and hang with the team. We wouldn't bother you like this if we didn't need your help and you can feel good knowing that 100% of your donation goes to the writers. We'd really appreciate your support. After all, you're what makes all this happen. Learn more

The Conclusion to the Wings saga

Chiu on This
A short and regular opinion blast from Stephen Chiu

‘Chiu on This’ is a short and regular opinion blast

After the dissolution of team Random and the inability of Valve or anyone else to stop ACE from punishing the ex-Random players so harshly, it has come to this. The players themselves have split up, with Y` and Faith_bian joining EHOME, Shadow joining Eclipse and the last two remaining players making a new team called Dango. This was a team of five players who stuck together with no hopes or consolation except for the faith and friendship they had in each other. They went on to bring the TI6 championship home to China in a year that was dominated by Western Dota. And this is how it ends: not in a bang, not in a whimper, but in civil war.

Friendship has died, lines have been made and now they must battle each other to see who among them — if any — can make it to TI7.

Legendary Dota2 player Hao once said, “The deeper the love, the deeper the hate.” So it is here.
