Slingshot Readers,

We NEED your support. More specifically, the author of this article needs your support. If you've been enjoying our content, you know that a lot of work goes into our stories and although it may be a work of passion, writers gotta eat. If just half our readers gave 1 DOLLAR a month, one measly dollar, we could fund all the work from StuChiu, DeKay, Emily, Andrew (and even Vince). If you contribute 5 DOLLARS a month, we invite you to join our Discord and hang with the team. We wouldn't bother you like this if we didn't need your help and you can feel good knowing that 100% of your donation goes to the writers. We'd really appreciate your support. After all, you're what makes all this happen. Learn more

HotshotGG, TheOddOne and Chaox are among the former North American League of Legends pros who will compete in the inaugural “Return of the Legends” tournament in Hong Kong in August.

The Hong Kong Esports and Music festival will invite former League of Legends professionals from Hong Kong/Taiwan/Macau, Mainland China, Europe, and North America for a tournament Aug. 4-6. The event will also include a KPOP concert. The North American team will be comprised of former Team SoloMid players Shan “Chaox” Huang and Brian “TheOddOne” Wyllie, former Counter Logic Gaming players Austin “Link” Shin and Steve “Chauster” Chau, and CLG owner George “HotshotGG” Georgallidis.

All five of the names of team NA are well-known to any older fan of the NA LCS. Chaox and Link jump out more than most, as both left their respective organizations with some fanfare. Choax since moved onto trying to build a team of his own in China, while Link, author of the infamous Donezo Manifesto, focused on his studies until a brief reappearance this spring with Team Liquid.

Semifinal matches on Aug. 4 and the final Aug. 6 at the Central Harbourfront Event Space in Hong Kong. With NA now represented, the event has a full schedule and teams to set and compete. The KPOP concert will take place Aug. 5.
