Friberg to be part of ESL One Cologne talent lineup

Two weeks after announcing his departure from Ninjas in Pyjamas, Adam “Friberg” Friberg will give the Counter-Strike analyst desk a shot.

ESL announced Friday the talent lineup for ESL One Cologne, which runs July 4-9 in Cologne, Germany. One of the analysts included in the announcement is Friberg, long-time member of Ninjas in Pyjamas player who left from the team June 12, who was comically depicted as a giant banana wearing a crown.

The full talent list contains a lot of familiar faces Counter-Strike viewers have come to love. Viewer favorites Anders Blume and Auguste “Semmler” Massonat will be present at the casting desk, as will Henry “HenryG” Greer and Matthew “Sadokist” Trivett and Jason “Moses” O’toole and Lauren “Pansy” Scott.

ESL One Cologne is a $250,000 Counter-Strike tournament and will feature 16 teams: SK Gaming,, Fnatic, FaZe Clan, Natus Vincere, Ninjas in Pyjamas, North, G2 Esports, Cloud9, mousesports, Immortals, OpTic Gaming, Space Soldiers, Heroic, TyLoo and Team Liquid.

The desk host of the event is Alex “Machine” Richardson, the stage host is Paul “Redeye” Chaloner, the sideline reporter is former player and manager Tres “Stunna” Saranthus, and analysts Janko “YNK” Paunovic and Chad “Spunj” Burchill will join Friberg.
