Slingshot Readers,

We NEED your support. More specifically, the author of this article needs your support. If you've been enjoying our content, you know that a lot of work goes into our stories and although it may be a work of passion, writers gotta eat. If just half our readers gave 1 DOLLAR a month, one measly dollar, we could fund all the work from StuChiu, DeKay, Emily, Andrew (and even Vince). If you contribute 5 DOLLARS a month, we invite you to join our Discord and hang with the team. We wouldn't bother you like this if we didn't need your help and you can feel good knowing that 100% of your donation goes to the writers. We'd really appreciate your support. Apart from item changes, a brand new armor item named Bramble Vest has been added to League of Legends’ Public Beta Environment, along with a change to Thornmail.

As the name implies, Bramble Vest is supposed to hurt anyone that touches the outside of it. Upon being hit by a basic attack, it reflects 25 magic damage, inflicting Grievous Wounds on the attacker for one second. It builds from two cloth armors and a recipe cost adding up to 900 gold, and is also one of the recipe items for the Thornmail.

Thornmail has subsequently been reworked with a brand new build path. It takes a Bramble Vest, Warden’s Mail, a Ruby Chrystal and gold to a total cost of 2,900. It gives 250 health, 74 armor, and has two unique passives.

The first is when being hit by a basic attack, Thornmail reflects magic damage equal to 10 percent of the wearer’s bonus armor plus 25, inflicting Grievous Wounds on the attacker for 1 second. The second happens when you’re hit by basic attacks, which reduces the speed of the attack by 15 percent for one second.

Both items will apply Grievous Wounds to the recipient of the reflected damage, which cuts all healing received by 40 percent, including those AD Carries that need to life steal off of targets. Tanks are back in a a big way.

Kayn still tested

Kayn, Riot’s recently revealed new champion, is still being tested in the PBE along with his release skin, Soulhunter Kayn, which will be 1,350RP, or $10.
