Slingshot Readers,

We NEED your support. More specifically, the author of this article needs your support. If you've been enjoying our content, you know that a lot of work goes into our stories and although it may be a work of passion, writers gotta eat. If just half our readers gave 1 DOLLAR a month, one measly dollar, we could fund all the work from StuChiu, DeKay, Emily, Andrew (and even Vince). If you contribute 5 DOLLARS a month, we invite you to join our Discord and hang with the team. We wouldn't bother you like this if we didn't need your help and you can feel good knowing that 100% of your donation goes to the writers. We'd really appreciate your support. After all, you're what makes all this happen. Learn more

Team WE starting support Nam “Ben” Donghyu is unable to travel to Kaohsiung, Taiwan because of visa issues. As a result, substitute support Yoon “Zero” Kyungsup will start for Team WE, and the team’s second top laner, Zhou “LaoZhou” Chao, will come as the official substitute.

“Because of a visa-related problem,” Team WE’s weibo reads, “Ben is unable to accompany the team to Kaohsiung to attend this year’s Rift Rivals. Zero will act as the starting support for this tournament. At the same time, LaoZhou will change from an emergency substitute to an official substitute.”

Zero played with Team WE as its main support throughout 2016 and was the starting support for WE when it defeated SK Telecom T1 in a best-of-one at the Mid-Season Invitational in May. Zero is also a 2014 League of Legends World Championship finalist and previous member of Star Horn Royal Club.

Team WE will play SKT once again in the main Rift Rivals group stage. The tournament for the LPL-LMS-LCK region starts Thursday.
