Kayn, the newest League of Legends champion, will go live Wednesday in League of Legends Patch 7.14.

After the champion was initially revealed (hours after it appeared to leak on the Internet), buzz has surrounded Kayn and his fascinating backstory. Starting Wednesday, he will be available to be played.

Other changes coming to the new patch, which also include many previously-discussed champion changes and a new item, are some less expected changes to champions. Garen was in line for a change of some sort, and the previous PBE patches show that his passive, W, and E were the most likely to change. His W no longer gives permanent armor and magic resist based on how many targets he takes down. It now gives Garen 60 percent damage reduction and tenacity for the first 0.75 seconds, returning to the normal 30 percent damage reduction for the remaining duration thereafter.

His E also doesn’t shred 25 percent of the an enemy champion’s armor for six seconds when they get hit by four spins, but just got a better ratio on it, removing him from being a tank shredder to just being a regular damage dealing tank.

Taric got a whole slew of changes, which have been carried over straight from a June 29 PBE update. His Q now heals a set amount through all of his levels with bonuses added on in the form of ability power scaling and Taric’s max HP. His Bravado charged attacks — which happen after casting a spell — will take away one second from the Q’s cooldown timer but add a charge immediately.

His E is also traveling straight from the PBE, as his stun is now for 1.25 seconds at all levels, as well as his increased mana regeneration.

As a previous PBE stated, Yorick got better reaction times from his ghouls, increased damage at the later levels, and a larger reaction radius whenever he tags an enemy with his E. On top of that, their despawn range of when they decide to go away has also increased from 1600 to 2000, giving Yorick more of a longer range pushing tool.

The higher base health per level and lower cooldown per level have also come whole sale from a previous PBE patch.
