If you've been enjoying our content, you know that a lot of work goes into our stories and although it may be a work of passion, writers gotta eat. If just half our readers gave 1 DOLLAR a month, one measly dollar, we could fund all the work from StuChiu, DeKay, Emily, Andrew (and even Vince). If you contribute 5 DOLLARS a month, we invite you to join our Discord and hang with the team. We wouldn't bother you like this if we didn't need your help and you can feel good knowing that 100% of your donation goes to the writers. We'd really appreciate your support. The ESL will produce two shows to run on Disney XD's new gaming block.

ESL announced Monday that D|XP, the new daily gaming-centric program block for the TV channel Disney XD this summer, will house two new shows by ESL: ESL Brawlers and ESL Speedrunners.

“Creating original programming is one of ESL’s top priorities, and we are thrilled to partner with Disney’s D|XP to create engaging content for their audience,” Nik Adams, the ESL’s senior vice president of global media rights and distribution, said in a news release. “We’ve produced really exciting, unique content for D|XP to capture a variety of gaming elements across the cultural landscape, and we look forward to bringing this programming to the community.”

ESL Brawlers will be a six episode series that pits players of Street Fighter V in a first-to-10 format, as the champion has to defend their position each week. The first episode of Brawlers will include some pretty prominent names in Street Fighter, such as Victor “Punk” Woodley, Bryant “SMUG” Fenton Huggins Jr., Kenneth “K-Brad” Bradley, and Martin “Marn” Phan. Brawlers will also have a Vainglory episode, featuring professional players of the game.

ESL Speedrunners will a focus on its namesake by inviting noted speedrunners to display their skills in their favorite titles, and acting as an introduction to speedrunning.

D|XP is scheduled to take place everyday from 9 p.m to 3 a.m EST, and it broadcast the Smash 4 finals of EVO over the weekend as part of the new programming launch. ESL Brawlers will premiere Thursday, while ESL Speedrunners is set to air in August.
