G2 to replace Coin with Magic 8-ball, per sources

Chiu on This
A short and regular opinion blast from Stephen Chiu

‘Chiu on This’ is a short and regular opinion blast. This particular piece is a satire:

After losing to Gambit on Cache in the second round of the Swiss system at the PGL Krakow Major, resentment flared among the G2 Esports camp. The coin had led the team to victory on the first day of the group stage, but it was unable to continue the streak on the second day.

After arguing with the coin about its choice of strategy on the second day, the G2 camp was split down the middle as to whether or not the coin should stay, with Richard “shox” Papillon and Kenny “kennyS” Schrub denouncing it on one side andAlexandre “bodyy” Pianaro and Dan “apEX” Madesclaire supporting it on the other. It once again came down to Nathan “NBK” Schmitt to play kingmaker, and he decided that the coin had to go. According to multiple sources, the team’s new analyst will be a Magic 8-ball. Comments from the various parties involved:

Shox: “It is sad that we had to part ways as we were doing well with the coin, but we needed something that could perform well at the Major.”

NBK: “The coin broke the meta but was too stuck and stubborn in it’s ways. Sadly we could not continue on.”

kennyS: “The coin was the problem, and now everything will be fixed.”

According to one source, the coin is looking to join EnVyUs, where the players hope it will bring improved leadership to the team.
