MEGA Esports added three players to its Overwatch roster

MEGA Esports announced Monday the addition of three new players, Martin “Graceful” Wongprom, Eli “Elk” Gallagher and Kevin “Moffitt” Moffit, to its Overwatch team.

“It is always exciting to introduce talent to a growing region,” team manager Alex Simmons said in a news release. “We’ve recently made a lot of additions to our Overwatch roster and believe the increased competitive depth will be something to fear in the upcoming season of the Overwatch Pacific Championship and any leagues to come.”

Following its formation earlier this month, MEGA Esports entered into Overwatch scene by buying the members of Team Fireball from HK Esports, rebranding the team as MEGA Thunder. Their latest three acquisitions will put the total roster at nine.

All three players have experience playing on major esports organizations. Graceful and Moffitt played for Splyce before the organization released the entire roster in May. Elk previously played for Evil Geniuses, but he was released when the organization got rid of its roster earlier this month.

MEGA Thunder hasn’t been able to compete since its creation, but the announcement details the newest hires have joined the team’s gaming house and are preparing to compete in Season 2 of the Overwatch Pacific Championship, hosted at the Blizzard eStadium in Taiwan.
