In the latest Overwatch comic book, which celebrates the release of the new hero Doomfist, Blizzard revealed potential skins for Reaper, Sombra, and Doomfist.

The 12-page comic titled “Masquerade” follows the story of Talon, the antagonistic faction in the world of Overwatch, right after Doomfist is sprung from his prison cell. The comic served a retread of Talon’s exploits in previous animated shorts for Doomfist, who was behind bars during that time, and also showed the current power structure of Talon with Doomfist’s return as leader.

More importantly, the comic showed three costumes that Doomfist, Reaper, and Sombra all wore, befitting of the comic’s title. Doomfist dressed like Shakespeare, Sombra looked like a court jester with matching face paint (a la Junkrat’s own skin), and Reaper had a particularly red and fluffy outfit along with a skull mask.

Upon the comic’s release, Overwatch fans have been clamoring to see the new costumes to be added as new skins to unlock for those characters. There is a more than better chance of this happening, as the comic books released before the Halloween and Omnic Crisis events showed costumes that later became skins, setting an interesting precedent.

Doomfist will be released on the live servers July 27, and is an offensive hero who focuses on close quarters combat with his gigantic mechanical gauntlet on his right arm.
