Slingshot Readers,

We NEED your support. More specifically, the author of this article needs your support. If you've been enjoying our content, you know that a lot of work goes into our stories and although it may be a work of passion, writers gotta eat. If just half our readers gave 1 DOLLAR a month, one measly dollar, we could fund all the work from StuChiu, DeKay, Emily, Andrew (and even Vince). If you contribute 5 DOLLARS a month, we invite you to join our Discord and hang with the team. We wouldn't bother you like this if we didn't need your help and you can feel good knowing that 100% of your donation goes to the writers. We'd really appreciate your support. HellRaisers signs Planet Dog roster ahead of TI7

HellRaisers signed a Dota 2 team.
HellRaisers signed Planet Dog, a Dota 2 team heading to TI7.

HellRaisers announced Thursday it has acquired Dota 2 team Planet Dog, which has qualified for The International 7.

“I’m really excited to be joining HellRaisers as their first Dota team in over a year and to go to The International together for the first time,” team captain Alexei “j4” Lipai, said in a statement. “HR are a great organization and we both got on really well from our first meeting. We’re all looking forward to a long bright future with HR!”.

This isn’t the organization’s first venture into Dota 2, as HellRaisers had a team starting in 2014 until the players and organization went separate ways last March. None of the HellRaisers teams qualified for The International, so this will be the organization’s first trip.

Planet Dog is a young team that formed last month with the specific purpose of making it to TI7.

The roster is comprised of j4, Milan “MiLAN” Kozomara, Uroš “Swiftending” Galić, Neta “33” Shapira, and Greg “Keyser” Kallianiotis. TI7 takes place from Aug. 2-12 and will feature 18 teams, an increase from 16 last year. The prize pool has already broken the record for largest purse in esports history.
