Denis “seized” Kostin and Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev confirmed Thursday that a roster move will happen with Natus Vincere‘s Counter-Strike team.

In a video interview posted on Na’Vi’s YouTube channel, seized said Natus Vincere is no longer the legendary team it once was, and changes are needed in order to get the team back to that level.

“Changes? Yes, I think they are necessary, but I do not know what they could be,” he said. “I have a couple of thoughts in my head. I think I cannot fulfill the captain role in the long run. It’s best if the team has another leader, but I do not see anyone else from our team who can do it. Therefore, it must be someone who is already a captain.”

He continued that good captains are hard to come by, saying that the best ones “have been playing for 10 or 15 years,” while also acting as captain during their careers. Seized seemed to be rather unhappy with his own performance as well, saying that he has seen a dip in his level of play, but maintained that he “can play as well as I did a year ago.”

Following the interview, s1mple took to Twitter and said that changes to the roster are indeed coming.

Na’Vi has struggled throughout the year. After making a run to the quarterfinals of the ELEAGUE Major in January, the team’s form has been in constant decline with the exception of a semifinal run at ESL One Cologne at the start of the month. Seized said he would like to see the return of Danylo Zeus Teslenko to Na’Vi. Zeus joined Gambit Gaming last summer after being removed from Na’Vi to make room for s1mple. He’s led Gambit to the playoffs of consecutive Majors, and Gambit is in the semifinals of the PGL Krakow Major.
