If you've been enjoying our content, you know that a lot of work goes into our stories and although it may be a work of passion, writers gotta eat. If just half our readers gave 1 DOLLAR a month, one measly dollar, we could fund all the work from StuChiu, DeKay, Emily, Andrew (and even Vince). If you contribute 5 DOLLARS a month, we invite you to join our Discord and hang with the team. We wouldn't bother you like this if we didn't need your help and you can feel good knowing that 100% of your donation goes to the writers. We'd really appreciate your support. Bang shouldn’t have apologized

Chiu on This
A short and regular opinion blast from Stephen Chiu

‘Chiu on This’ is a short and regular opinion blast

One of the things I liked about players like idra was that he was unapologetic. When he made a joke that he was paid to treat all of the fans like fucks, he never apologized. He could have, and perhaps it could have turned out better for him, but he never did, and I respect that he stuck to his honest opinion. In the same vein I had respected Bang for sticking to his guns and not kowtowing to Korean fans like the rest of the pros did.

Don’t get me wrong. If Bang legitimately believed he had wronged someone or that he had done harm, then he should apologize. But the timing of it seems to pacify the fans rather than because he was sorry.
