Slingshot Readers,

We NEED your support. More specifically, the author of this article needs your support. If you've been enjoying our content, you know that a lot of work goes into our stories and although it may be a work of passion, writers gotta eat. If just half our readers gave 1 DOLLAR a month, one measly dollar, we could fund all the work from StuChiu, DeKay, Emily, Andrew (and even Vince). If you contribute 5 DOLLARS a month, we invite you to join our Discord and hang with the team. We wouldn't bother you like this if we didn't need your help and you can feel good knowing that 100% of your donation goes to the writers. We'd really appreciate your support. With League of Legends’ arcade-themed event in the next patch round, the summoner icon and a unique limited time in-game emote entered the Public Beta Environment for testing Wednesday, as did a further tweak to Caitlyn’s traps.

During the event certain items, such as the Battle Boss Baron icon, will be available for purchase with tickets. At the moment, tickets can be purchased with Riot Points bundled with loot boxes. The new Battle Boss Baron icon comes with an event-exclusive emote for 80 tickets and for a limited amount of time.

Caitlyn receives more nerfs to her traps

Caitlyn received more changes to her W, Yordle Snap Trap. After some changes in the PBE, including a revert to how long the traps will hold a single target, the new nerf reduced the bonus head shot damage that’s applied on a trapped target. Instead of 70 percent of the attack damage as a bonus, it will now give 60 percent.

The previous nerf to the amount of time on the traps appears it will go through for now, as it is 1.5 seconds at all ranks instead of two. Caitlyn has been quite popular as of late, and this looks like it aims to take her down a peg.
