If you've been enjoying our content, you know that a lot of work goes into our stories and although it may be a work of passion, writers gotta eat. If you contribute 5 DOLLARS a month, we invite you to join our Discord and hang with the team. We wouldn't bother you like this if we didn't need your help and you can feel good knowing that 100% of your donation goes to the writers. We'd really appreciate your support. NRG signed Brad Rajani as head coach for its Overwatch League team.

NRG Esports announced Wednesday the signing of Brad Rajani as the head coach of its Overwatch League team.

Previously the Overwatch coach and co-owner of Selfless Gaming, Rajani and Steve “Ryu” Rattacasa announced July 7 they were leaving the organization, citing “opportunities that have arisen in the past few months.” The organization’s brand was also put up for sale.

NRG since became one of the first seven franchises to join Overwatch League by purchasing the San Francisco spot, and Rajani will have the opportunity to coach the team. Selfless’ Overwatch has had some impressive results before its disbanding, placing third in the Overwatch PIT Championship – North America, and winning the Overwatch Rumble in May . Selfless also participated in Overwatch Contenders Season Zero in North America but finished 13th.

NRG, meanwhile, failed to qualify for Overwatch Contenders twice and will likely look to build its roster during the free agent signing period, as only two players, André “iddqd” Dahlström and Anthony “Harbleu” Ballo, are on the active roster.
