Imp says in AMA why he doesn’t use the Samsung Galaxy Twitch skin: “it’s shameful to use it when I haven’t been performing well.”

Gu “Imp” Seung-bin, one of the most popular Korean League of Legends players in the world, participated Monday in an AMA on Reddit, where he explained why he doesn’t use the Twitch skin that was designed for him even though he has played that champion in recent weeks.

Simply put, Imp said he does not deserve to wear it just yet.

“Omega Squad Twitch is the best Twitch skin,” he said. “I don’t like Samsung White Twitch because it’s shameful to use it when I haven’t been performing well. I might like it better if it was named after me and not SSW.”

Imp earned the skin after he won the League of Legends World Championship in 2014 with Samsung White, but he has since moved on to LGD Gaming in China. His team has struggled throughout the last year, as it placed eighth in last year’s League of Legends Pro League spring split and was toward the bottom again this spring. This summer has seen an improvement, but LGD is still far from what its reputation used to entail.

The AMA wasn’t all serious, though, as Imp gave some lighthearted answers and reaffirmed why he was one of the most popular players in the world. Some of the best answers were to questions about what his favorite kind of AD Carries to face — “Bad ones” — and his favorite memory in his career, to which he replied was when he signed with LGD, which reportedly offered him a sizable salary.

Famously spending a lot of money on accessories — like the $2.6k “dog bag” from Thom Browne — Imp personally furthered the meme when asked what his favorite clothing brand.

“Louis Vuitton. If anyone rich wants to send me gifts I’ll be very thankful,” he replied.
