Slingshot Readers,

We NEED your support. More specifically, the author of this article needs your support. If you've been enjoying our content, you know that a lot of work goes into our stories and although it may be a work of passion, writers gotta eat. If just half our readers gave 1 DOLLAR a month, one measly dollar, we could fund all the work from StuChiu, DeKay, Emily, Andrew (and even Vince). If you contribute 5 DOLLARS a month, we invite you to join our Discord and hang with the team. We wouldn't bother you like this if we didn't need your help and you can feel good knowing that 100% of your donation goes to the writers. We'd really appreciate your support. Despite both sides being set to move on from one another, rifler Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski will remain on Team Liquid going forward.

Team Liquid manager Steve Perino tweeted Wednesday night EliGE would remain with the team, which Slingshot independently confirmed. Slingshot reported Monday about an expected mutual split between both parties, but a deal for EliGE never materialized.

According to multiple sources, the ex-iBuyPower core — Sam “DaZeD” Marine, Braxton “swag” Pierce and Keven “AZK” Lariviere — inquired about EliGE’s buyout, but nothing further materialized. He was also considered by OpTic Gaming to a lesser extent before Will “RUSH” Wierzba and Tarik “tarik” Celik moved to Cloud9.

Separately, HLTV reported Wednesday that EliGE was a target for Immortals. Team Liquid went as far as to consider possible replacements for EliGE if he were to depart to another team, but he will remain with TL going forward.

Team Liquid will now prepare for the start of ESL Pro League Season 6 next week as well as ESG Tour 2017 and ESL One New York, which are both in September.
