Blizzard announced Thursday it will premiere a new Overwatch map and an animated short at Gamescom next week in Cologne, Germany.
Blizzard listed different kinds of content attendees can enjoy based on each game. For Overwatch, the animated short will have a world-wide premier as part of the “Blizzard Reveal Ceremony” on Wednesday on the main stage. The ceremony will be live-streamed on Gamescom’s official website.
Visitors to Blizzard’s booth will also be able to play a new Overwatch map, and there will be a live performance with the German voice actors and a panel with the German representatives for the Overwatch World Cup. For those unable to be at Gamescom, Blizzard will preview all the playable content Monday, which will be released through YouTube.
Blizzard will also have a number of sneak peeks of future content across a number of its most popular titles. For Hearthstone, players will be able to try a new Fireside Brawl, which is a group raid against the Lich King. A new co-op commander will be revealed for StarCraft 2, and attendees of Gamescom will also get the Rise of the Necromancer Pack for Diablo 3.
