Slingshot Readers,

We NEED your support. More specifically, the author of this article needs your support. If you've been enjoying our content, you know that a lot of work goes into our stories and although it may be a work of passion, writers gotta eat. If just half our readers gave 1 DOLLAR a month, one measly dollar, we could fund all the work from StuChiu, DeKay, Emily, Andrew (and even Vince). If you contribute 5 DOLLARS a month, we invite you to join our Discord and hang with the team. We wouldn't bother you like this if we didn't need your help and you can feel good knowing that 100% of your donation goes to the writers. We'd really appreciate your support. After all, you're what makes all this happen. Learn more

Friberg, allu, Magisk join OpTic Gaming’s CS:GO roster

Friberg, allu and Magisk have joined OpTic Gaming.

OpTic Gaming‘s Counter Strike roster includes Adam “friberg” Friberg, Emil “Magisk” Reif and Aleksi “allu” Jalli, according to the North American team listings for the upcoming ESL Pro League.

According to a report Friday by Flickshot, friberg, Magisk, allu and Kevin “HS” Tarn would join OpTic, which would pivot around Oscar “Mixwell” Canellas to a European roster in the wake of Tarik “tarik” Celik and Will “RUSH” Wierzba leaving for Cloud9. Keith “NAF” Markovic is listed on OpTic’s roster but said he isn’t a part of the starting five, and will stand in for the first week. According to Flickshot, the org has not been able to come to a resolution with a buyout for HS.

Friberg played for almost five years on Ninjas in Pyjamas but stepped down from the team in June. He has since casted ESL One Cologne and decided he wanted to continue his playing career.

Magisk joins after being benched on North following the PGL Krakow Major last month, eventually being replaced with Valdemar “valde” Bjørn Vangså. He’s still only 19 years old but struggled through parts of this year. Allu was dropped by FaZe Clan last month to make room for Ladislav “GuradiaN” Kovacs.
