Slingshot Readers,

We NEED your support. More specifically, the author of this article needs your support. If you've been enjoying our content, you know that a lot of work goes into our stories and although it may be a work of passion, writers gotta eat. If just half our readers gave 1 DOLLAR a month, one measly dollar, we could fund all the work from StuChiu, DeKay, Emily, Andrew (and even Vince). If you contribute 5 DOLLARS a month, we invite you to join our Discord and hang with the team. We wouldn't bother you like this if we didn't need your help and you can feel good knowing that 100% of your donation goes to the writers. We'd really appreciate your support. After all, you're what makes all this happen. Learn more

Wardell completes Rogue CS:GO roster

WARDELL signed to complete Rogue's CS:GO roster.

Rogue announced Saturday the addition of Matthew “Wardell” Bowman as the fifth player of the organization’s Counter-Strike team.

Rogue acquired the core players of the Enigma6 CS:GO team last month — Collin “wrath” McSweegan, Daniel “vice” Kim, and Josh “shinobi” Abastado — to play with Spencer “Hiko” Martin. Rogue originally planned to complete the roster with Bulgarian AWPer Cvetelin “CeRq” Dimitrov, but stopped pursuit of CeRq after NRG contacted him, and the player reportedly joined NRG instead.

Wardell previously played Bee’s Money Crew and Ghost Gaming and hasn’t seen much exposure to the top-level of CS:GO competition so far outside of ECS Season 3 with BMC.

Rogue will be unable to use its full roster until Sep. 21, when wrath turns 16 and becomes old enough to play in the ESL Pro League. Until then, Rogue will use Shawn “witmer” Taylor, a former member of the Enigma6 roster, as a stand-in.
