Slingshot Readers,

We NEED your support. More specifically, the author of this article needs your support. If you've been enjoying our content, you know that a lot of work goes into our stories and although it may be a work of passion, writers gotta eat. If just half our readers gave 1 DOLLAR a month, one measly dollar, we could fund all the work from StuChiu, DeKay, Emily, Andrew (and even Vince). If you contribute 5 DOLLARS a month, we invite you to join our Discord and hang with the team. We wouldn't bother you like this if we didn't need your help and you can feel good knowing that 100% of your donation goes to the writers. We'd really appreciate your support. After all, you're what makes all this happen. Learn more

Znajder to miss a week of ESL Pro League games while recovering from eye injury

Znajder will stand in for Godsent for the next week of ESL Pro League matches
Znajder is out for a week of ESL Pro League matches as he continues to recover from an eye injury.

Godsent announced Wednesday that Markus “pronax” Wallsten will stand in for Andreas “znajder” Lindberg in the team’s ESL Pro League matches this week as Znajder continues to recover from an apparent eye injury.

Znajder tweeted Aug. 15 that he was suffering a viral infection that affected his vision, and it’s clear he’s not yet 100 percent. Pronax will step back into the starting lineup for the team after Godsent announced Monday he would step down from the active roster. Jacob “pyth” Mourujärvi joined the team as a stand-in until the team signs a fifth player (which Slingshot reported Tuesday will be Fredrik “freddieb” Buö), and for the time being, both pyth and pronax will play.
