Slingshot Readers,

We NEED your support. More specifically, the author of this article needs your support. If you've been enjoying our content, you know that a lot of work goes into our stories and although it may be a work of passion, writers gotta eat. If just half our readers gave 1 DOLLAR a month, one measly dollar, we could fund all the work from StuChiu, DeKay, Emily, Andrew (and even Vince). If you contribute 5 DOLLARS a month, we invite you to join our Discord and hang with the team. We wouldn't bother you like this if we didn't need your help and you can feel good knowing that 100% of your donation goes to the writers. We'd really appreciate your support. After all, you're what makes all this happen. Learn more

Following the buff from last week, the latest update to League of Legends’ Public Beta Environment on Thursday scaled Aatrox’s ultimate down a bit, while still keeping it as a buff compared to the live values.

His ultimate, Massacre, increases Aatrox’s auto attack range to 225, scaled down from 250 from the buff last week. This is still quite the buff though, as in the live version of Aatrox, activating the ultimate increases his auto attack range to 175.

Another buff was missed in last week’s PBE changes. Aatrox’s Q, Dark Flight, is now unstoppable once he starts making his way down. The ability launches him in the air and he comes slamming down to a target location, dealing damage and knocking up enemies in near the center of the point of impact. Currently it’s very easy to interrupt the ability through such means as crowd control, but the PBE the crowd control needs to be applied while he’s jumping up.

New emotes have been added

Five new emotes featuring Riven, Poppy, Taric, Vel’koz, and Caitlyn have been added to the PBE.

First announced on Aug. 8, the emotes are an upcoming feature that players can use in-game. Each player will get an “Emote Wheel,” just like the one with pings, where they will have access to five different emotes. The emotes can be changed outside of the game to add further customization options for the players.
