Kevin Chou is reportedly interested in purchasing a Korean League of Legends team.
Kevin Chou is reportedly interested in purchasing a Korean League of Legends team.

Kevin Chou, the owner of the Seoul franchise for the upcoming Overwatch League, has inquired about potentially acquiring a League of Legends team in Korea, according to a report from Inven.

According to the report, which cites a source within a team Chou allegedly approached, Chou is looking to start a team and has contacted League Champions Korea organizations to gauge his options. Negotiations with at least one team fell apart after a disagreement about price, according to the report.

Chou doesn’t have a particular team in mind but was surveying what the market might be, according to the report.

Chou first made a splash in esports when he entered the Overwatch League as one of the first seven franchises announced for the league, as he founded KSV Esports to represent Seoul. KSV later acquired the roster and coaching staff of Korea’s best Overwatch team Lunatic-Hai, a two time OGN APEX champion.
