Ornn is cementing his position as one of the most hands-on champions to date as another change could be coming in League of Legends Patch 7.19.
Riot Games’ Andrei “Meddler” van Roon detailed some of the further changes Wednesday in a dev corner post.
“In 7.19 we’ll at least be making some changes to how his item upgrades work (minimum level needed, plus the addition of a new item or two). Possible we give him a bit of extra power in some other regard too, getting to the point though where we also need to be extra careful not to over buff him,” he wrote. “We’re still seeing a lot of Ornn players struggle, but some of that’s still learning curve not kit, and successful Ornns are starting to do quite a bit better.”
The proposed limitation of when his allies can buy item upgrades has already been mentioned as a potential fix to Ornn’s allies making poor itemization choices to chase the unique item ugrades Ornn offers. With a number of buffs hitting Ornn since his release in Patch 7.17, there’s hope he’ll soon be rescued from a sub-40 percent win rate.
Potential Janna changes in Patch 7.19
With the Ardent Censer nerfs live in the current patch, Riot said that it wants to leave Janna and Taric — the prime benefactors of the previous version of the Censer — alone for a patch, but it seems at least Janna might be in line for a nerf. The topic goes back to the previously discussed skill expression and giving counterplay opportunities for her opponents.
Current tests include changes to her Q to make it stronger and travel faster the longer it’s charged, her shield having a longer cooldown at earlier ranks, and a longer auto attack range. It’s not certain any of those changes will be applied at all by Patch 7.19, but the goal has been set.
Runes are still not set in stone
The stat numbers new runes that have been revealed aren’t final and are subject to change. Don’t lose your heads.
