Natus Vincere has one Counter-Strike tournament under its belt since adding Danylo “Zeus” Teslenko in place of Ladislav “GuardiaN” Kovacs. Following a quarterfinal exit at DeamHack Malmo, Na’Vi will take place in Group A of the ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier, which runs Friday and Saturday and will be broadcast on TBS at 10 p.m. Friday.

Ahead of the group, Na’Vi’s Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev and Denis “Seized” Kostin spoke with members of the media via conference call. The highlights are below:

S1mple on the team’s performance at DreamHack Malmo: Great experience for us in our first tournament, even if we didn’t do really well because we just playing with Zeus and our new coach for three weeks. These three tournaments now will be big practice for us, and we will just continue for next event.

S1mple on Zeus coming back to the team: Now we have a real in-game leader because Zeus was captain for 15 years. It’s really hard for our team to change play styles because everyone gets new roles. Now I’m playing main AWP. It gained helps him a lot with technical style.

Seized on being benched then returning to the team: When they said I would be benched in the team, I had mixed feelings…I was sad. I was so frustrated with what to do next. Then I just tried to refresh my mind. I was on vacation at this time. I was talking with other teams and players to see what I can do. In the end, I’m very happy about it (that) they gave me a second chance. I’m really excited to play like I did before I became in-game leader.

S1mple on ELEAGUE compared to other CS:GO events: I like this event because of production, because of computers, because of people that (work with) this event. Everyone is nice, everyone is helping all the time. Great studio, computers, monitors. Everything for a player. It’s a really great tournament. It’s a big difference between ESL, DreamHack and another tournament. I hope they have one more chance to host the Major because last Major was really good in Atlanta. I hope Valve will give them another (Major).

S1mple on adjustments Na’Vi needs to make with the return of Zeus: We need to get back our tactical style. All of us have good individual skill, but we need great tactics that will work for everyone. We need to add more maps into our map pool. We’ve got like 5-6 maps, but all of us want seven maps for every tournament.

Seized on playing against GuardiaN (because FaZe Clan is in Na’Vi’s group): I don’t feel any special feeling playing against FaZe now. It doesn’t matter who (they have). We’re playing a good team. Easily top five. So not much difference than before. Nothing special.

S1mple on the team’s goals: Our team just needs more time to practice. Even if we didn’t have much time before Malmo, we showed not bad and (played) good CS, We have a lot of potential in our team, and I believe in one or two months, we will become much stronger. We want to be No. 1 team in the world, and with any team, we just need time.

S1mple on becoming primary AWPer: I thought primary AWP was gonna be easier but it became harder because you have to learn more angles from pro players…I just need some time as well because it’s a new role for me. But it’s really nice.
