Gragas will finally receive nerfs for which League of Legends players have been clamoring in Patch 7.18, which goes live on Wednesday morning.
The first of two nerfs is a hit to his base armor, which was reflected from a previous change in the Public Beta Environment. The real meaty nerf belongs to his E, Body Slam.
Gragas has been running rampant in the jungle, and what makes him so infuriating as an opponent is Body Slam, which has an incredibly large collision radius. The ability, which knocks back enemy units and stuns them for a second, is an incredibly potent ganking tool. The problem is that clips of Gragas hitting an enemy champion when the models are clearly not touching have surfaced, and players have been asking Riot to scale Gragas back in order to give them more time to react to his ganks.
The collision radius for his E is down from 210 to 180, his hitbox offset radius has also been reduced from 60 to 40, and the ability’s indicator will also more accurately reflect the hitbox. As the rest of the ability is the same, Gragas players will have to be a lot more precise to get the full combo off.
Here are some of the other changes in Patch 7.18, which have all been largely reflected in the PBE.
Azir’s base damage on his ultimate was buffed. He will now do more damage at ranks 2 and 3.
Cassiopeia’s E received some tweaks. The bonus damage to poisoned targets has been scaled down at all ranks, but the ability power ratio went up to 0.5 to compensate.
Elise’s human form W also received some adjustments. The base damage of her W was nerfed but now has a higher AP ratio from 0.8 to 0.95. Her spider form E was also nerfed, with a longer cooldown timer at later levels.
Fiora’s movement speed buffs have pretty much put her back to where she was. The bonus movement speed when successfully hitting an enemy’s vital point has gone up, and when she’s around the target of her ultimate, she gets a boost of movement speed during the duration.
Gnar’s base health took a nerf. It went from 540 to 510.
Ivern’s shield received some buffs when it explodes. The AP ratio of the explosion went from 0.7 to 0.8, and the base damage of the explosion was tweaked upward, too.
Jarvan IV’s shield was nerfed. The base shield value took a hit at all ranks, and the bonus shield value based on his maximum health he got when he hit an enemy champion has also been toned down at all levels.
Kalista’s ultimate has a higher cooldown time at ranks 2 and 3.
Lee Sin’s shield he applies when he dashes to an allied champion was tweaked. Although it gives a larger shield in the early game, it’s weaker in the late game compared to the current live values.
Lucian’s dash now has a higher cooldown timer at earlier ranks.
Nautilus’ hook received some buffs. His hook now costs 60 mana at all ranks, and when he hits a piece of terrain with it half of the mana cost is refunded.
Nidalee’s minimum and maximum AP ratio on her human form E went up, meaning she gives larger heals.
Ornn received another set of changes in the new patch. The item upgrades can only be purchased when Ornn reaches Level 13, an upgrade to Zhonya’s Hourgass that gives 30 more AP and 45 more armor for 1,000 gold has been added, and the speed of the ram he summons when using his ultimate has gone up from 1,050 to 1,200.
Rengar’s base armor was buffed from 22 to 25.
Ryze’s W received an AP ratio buff from 0.2 to 0.6.
Rakan received a few nerfs. The dash speed of his W has been increased in the early game but decreased in the late game, as 30 percent of his movement speed will be added to the base dash speed. The charm radius of his ultimate has also been nerfed but has a lower cool down timer at ranks 2 and 3 to compensate.
Tristana’s E was nerfed in terms of AD ratio. The AD ratio for bomb’s bonus damage upon explosion and the explosion when the bomb is fully stacked has been decreased from ranks 2 and onward.
