Slingshot Readers,

We NEED your support. More specifically, the author of this article needs your support. If you've been enjoying our content, you know that a lot of work goes into our stories and although it may be a work of passion, writers gotta eat. If just half our readers gave 1 DOLLAR a month, one measly dollar, we could fund all the work from StuChiu, DeKay, Emily, Andrew (and even Vince). If you contribute 5 DOLLARS a month, we invite you to join our Discord and hang with the team. We wouldn't bother you like this if we didn't need your help and you can feel good knowing that 100% of your donation goes to the writers. We'd really appreciate your support. After all, you're what makes all this happen. Learn more

Cloud9 League of Legends coach Bok “Reapered” Han-gyu will be able to travel with the team to China for the League of Legends World Championship after all.

Reapered said an interview with Inven Global last week that there is a “high chance” he wouldn’t be able to travel with the team to China for the worlds play-in stage because he didn’t have a proper visa (though he later clarified and seemed confident the problem would be resolved). Cloud9 CEO Jack Etienne confirmed Monday night Reapered would indeed be able to go to worlds with his team.

Cloud9 will attend worlds as the third seed from North America after defeating Counter Logic Gaming in the finals of the North American regional qualifier gauntlet. The team drew into Group B of the play-in stage with Team oNe Esports from Brazil and Dire Wolves from Oceania. Its first match will come against oNe at 2:30 a.m. Saturday at the Wuhan Sports Center Gymnasium.
