Slingshot Readers,

We NEED your support. More specifically, the author of this article needs your support. If you've been enjoying our content, you know that a lot of work goes into our stories and although it may be a work of passion, writers gotta eat. If just half our readers gave 1 DOLLAR a month, one measly dollar, we could fund all the work from StuChiu, DeKay, Emily, Andrew (and even Vince). If you contribute 5 DOLLARS a month, we invite you to join our Discord and hang with the team. We wouldn't bother you like this if we didn't need your help and you can feel good knowing that 100% of your donation goes to the writers. We'd really appreciate your support. After a couple days of experimental changes to Brand’s W, the changes have been reverted in League of Legends’ Public Beta Environment to be added on a later cycle.

Brand got an added effect to his W on the Sept. 13 update for the PBE, which gave him a small mana refund per enemy minion killed with the ability. On the Monday update there was a slight update to the new effect, giving him a flat amount of mana back when he kills an enemy unit with the ability. Now all of the changes have been reverted, according to a reply from Andrei “Meddler” van Roon┬áto a post in the official forums for League.

“Brief bit of passing context on those changes – expect them to vanish from the PBE this week (probably tomorrow) and then return in a modified form the patch after,” he wrote. “We’re at the point where we need to lock down the patch and that Brand stuff needs a bit more work.”

Brand is still a pocket support pick despite his intended design as a mid lane mage. With the goal of restoring him back to the mid lane, Brand’s changes will need further experimentation for now.

Ardent Censer changes reverted

Along with the Brand reverts, the buffs to the passive attack speed and addition on-hit damage for Ardent Censer have been reverted.

Bramble Vest gets cheaper

Bramble Vest had its total cost lowered from 1,200 to 1,000 gold as the combined cost was lowered from 600 to 400. The armor buff on the PBE update last week has been reverted, while the damage reflected to enemy champions was lowered from 20 to 15. The cheaper price for the vest, however, won’t be translated to the item it builds into — Thornmail — since the total cost remained the same, with a 200 gold increase in the combine cost.
