Team Secret announced Tuesday that its Dota 2 team will be using a stand-in for Adrian “FATA-” Trinks for this week’s games due to a family emergency.

Team Secret is currently playing in the European qualifiers for the PGL Open Bucharest — the second Dota 2 Minor of the new competitive season with a $300,000 prize pool — as one of the six directly invited teams. The qualifier is scheduled to take place from Sept. 19 to 21, with the first place team winning a ticket to Bucharest. Mikki Mørch “HesteJoe-Rotten” Junge of the Danish Bears will be taking the spot of FATA- for this week.
FATA- is one of the most well-known Dota 2 players in Europe as a carrying mid laner, and played for teams such as Cloud9, Mouseports, and Team Liquid. As a member of Team Liquid he had two second place finishes in the Shanghai and Manila Majors, and has competed in every The International since 2013, most recently as a part of Cloud9 at TI7. FATA- joined Team Secret earlier this month, but moved away from his previous role in mid to the off-lane position.
The European qualifier for the PGL Minor will be Team Secret’s first tournament since TI7, where it had a ninth place finish. The Minor will have the newly created Qualification Points on the line, which will determine which team will make it to next season’s TI. Team Scret’s roster currently consists of FATA-, Marcus “Ace” Hoelgaard, Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng, Yazied “YapzOr” Jaradat, and Clement “Puppey” Ivanov.
