Smooya joined Epsilon in June and was joined by two other players, Lasse “maeVe” Elgaard and Cosmin-Mihai “cosmeeeN” Butuc, to make up for the loss of William “Draken” Sundin and Henrik “REZ” Sterner, who left to join Ninjas in Pyjamas. The addition of the trio marked a staunch shift to a multi-national team after Epsilon attempted for months to build a successful group of Swedish players.
This year has been difficult for Epsilon, which failed to qualify for a number of events to this point. Epsilon’s best finish includes a quarterfinal finish at Copenhagen Games in April and the World Electronic Sports Games back in January.
Epsilon won the Gfinity Elite Series at the beginning of the month but will now apparently have to pivot.
