Cloud9 signed Kongdoo Panthera's Overwatch roster to become Cloud9 KongDoo.

Cloud9 announced Wednesday it has signed Kongdoo Panthera’s Overwatch roster, which will represent the organization in Overwatch League Season 1. The team will continue to compete in OGN APEX Season 4 with a new name and logo as Cloud9 KongDoo.

“KongDoo Panthera’s run in Season 3 was nothing short of incredible, and the skills and passion they displayed in the finals are going to be right at home with Cloud9,” Cloud9 CEO Jack Etienne said in a news release. “These guys are fierce competitors and I know they’re going to finish what they started, so we’re really excited for what’s to come.”

Considered one of the best Korean teams, Kongdoo went undefeated in the group stage in Season 4, qualifying to the second group stage. The team’s match against the NC Foxes on Friday will be its first match with the new team name and logo.

The full roster for Cloud9 KongDoo consists of Mun “Daily” Seon-ho, Baek “Fissure” Chan-hyung, Kang “Void” Jun-woo, Seung “Bdosin” Choi-tae, Lee “Curious” Yeong-min, Kim “Rascal” Dong-jun, Kim “birdring” Ji-hyuk, and An “wakawaka” Jee-ho.

According to a news release from Kongdoo Panthera on Thursday, the Overwatch roster will relocate at the conclusion of APEX Season 4 to prepare for Overwatch League. The team will temporarily relocate to Los Angeles for Overwatch League Season 1 and then move to London for future seasons.

Season 1 of Overwatch League begins Jan. 10 with a preseason that begins in December.
