New Super Galaxy skins coming to League of Legends

New Super Galaxy skins are coming to League of Legends

New Super Galaxy skins were teased Tuesday through the League of Legends Instagram account, featuring Elise, Nidalee, Annie, and Gnar.

The Super Galaxy skins draw inspiration from super heroes, Power Rangers, and Japanese mecha anime, as the title implies. All of the skins give the champions brand new models, unique spell, visual, and audio effects, and custom recall animations for each. Elise seems to be the odd one out of the bunch, as she is clearly designed to be a villain of sorts, and was seen being killed by all of the other members.

The new skins will join the other preexisting Super Galaxy skins for Rumble, Kindred, Fizz, and Shyvana. Although the tentative prices for the new Super Galaxy skins have yet to be announced, the existing line of skins cost 1,350 RP ($10) for Kindred, Fizz and Shyvana, and 1,820 RP ($14) for Rumble. Based on the prices of the other skins, the new Super Galaxy skins will most likely cost at least 1,350 RP.

The skins are still a work in progress and haven’t been added to the game’s Public Beta Environment for testing just yet, but they’ll presumably be added soon. The timing is fascinating because it comes right at the end of the latest addition to the Star Guardian skin line, which became wildly popular.
