SKT is apparently so confident at worlds that it won't debut its new jerseys until the semifinals

SK Telecom T1 (SKT) will debut new uniforms for its League of Legends team at the League of Legends World Championship — but only if it reaches the semifinals.

According to a news release, SKT will begin wearing the newly designed uniforms onstage at the semifinal stage of worlds. That means its possible — albeit unlikely — for SKT to not even wear the uniforms if they fail to make it that far in this year’s tournament. The announcement reads that the new uniforms are designed to represent the team’s drive to make it far into worlds, perhaps even as a source of motivation for the players to do well so that they can showcase their new uniforms on the global stage.

It’s an odd projection of confidence, as worlds is already a large enough stage for many to unveil something like a new uniform. But hey, when you’re the two-time defending world champions and favorite to reach the finals again, you have the leeway to make such proclamations.

The uniform includes a Fall-and-Winter T-shirt and jacket, and both are already on sale for fans for $55 and $88, respectively. The first 30 customers get to choose their favorite player’s tag to be printed on the back of their uniform. The new uniform is labeled as the Fall-and-Winter uniforms, and the limited sale is supposed to be part of a special event to cheer for the team during this year’s worlds.
