The splash art of the upcoming Super Galaxy skins for Annie, Elise, Gnar, and Nidalee have been added with the Tuesday update to the League of Legends’ Public Beta Environment.
Super Galaxy Annie
Super Galaxy Elise
Super Galaxy Gnar
Super Galaxy Nidalee
The new Super Galaxy skins were initially teased last week though the League of Legends Instagram account with a video trailer. The Super Galaxy skins draw inspiration from super heroes, Power Rangers, and Japanese mecha anime, with robots being prominent in each of their splash art. the skins give the champions brand new models, unique spell, visual, and audio effects, and custom recall animations for each.
The new skins will join the other preexisting Super Galaxy skins for Rumble, Kindred, Fizz, and Shyvana. Although the tentative prices for the new Super Galaxy skins have yet to be announced, the existing line of skins cost 1,350 RP ($10) for Kindred, Fizz and Shyvana, and 1,820 RP ($14) for Rumble.
Unlike the other skins in the Super Galaxy line that emphasize heroics, Elise seems to be a more villainous design. She was the one being hunted down by the other Super Galaxy members in the teaser trailer, and even her splash art gives the kind of old-school villain vibe.
The skins haven’t been added to the PBE for testing just yet, but with the splash art being added the skins will presumably follow soon. Along with the splash art, five new summoner icons have been added, themed after the new Super Galaxy skins.
