The starting support items in League of Legends were scaled down for the laning phase Tuesday in the game’s Public Beta Environment.
The upgrade conditions for Ancient Coin, Relic Shield, and Spellthief’s Edge have been adjusted to 750 gold from the original 650, meaning that it’ll take a lot longer to upgrade the item to the next stage.
As the bottom lane has become the carrying lane in the current meta with the advent of Arden Censer and supports with shields or heals, the scaling of supports has become just as important, so the advantage will go to the team with better laning. The starting items are a good way for supports to get free gold and upgrade their items, so the new increased amount should slow that a bit.
Frozen Heart buff
Frozen Heart gets 100 armor instead of 90.
Stopwatch item added to Gargoyle Stoneplate, Guardian Angel, Zhonya’s Hourglass
The recipes for the Stoneplate, the Hourglass, and Guardian Angel have been altered to include the new Stopwatch item worth 600 gold. The combined costs were also reduced by the same amount to keep the total item cost the same.
The Stopwatch was added to the PBE a few weeks ago, with a one-shot active effect that puts the user in stasis that makes them invulnerable and untargetable for 2.5 seconds, but they’re unable to move, attack, cast spells, or use items.
Mana charge for Manamune increased
With each basic attack, spell cast, or mana expenditure, it grants five maximum mana to a maximum of 750, at which point it transforms into Muramana. This change will speed up the transformation sequence.
