Slingshot Readers,

We NEED your support. More specifically, the author of this article needs your support. If you've been enjoying our content, you know that a lot of work goes into our stories and although it may be a work of passion, writers gotta eat. If just half our readers gave 1 DOLLAR a month, one measly dollar, we could fund all the work from StuChiu, DeKay, Emily, Andrew (and even Vince). If you contribute 5 DOLLARS a month, we invite you to join our Discord and hang with the team. We wouldn't bother you like this if we didn't need your help and you can feel good knowing that 100% of your donation goes to the writers. We'd really appreciate your support. After all, you're what makes all this happen. Learn more

LDLC to replace HellRaisers at DreamHack Denver

LDLC will replace HellRaisers at DreamHack Denver

LDLC will replace HellRaisers at DreamHack Denver because Özgür “woxic” Eker was unable to secure a visa in time.

The status of woxic’s visa was first put into question as the Unites States and Turkey mutually suspended their visa services earlier this month. The political turmoil resulted in the Turkish player being unable to get the visa to the U.S. in time for competition. In turn, HellRaisers withdrew from the tournament after qualifying through the European closed qualifier.

Woxic joined HellRaisers along with Issa “ISSAA” Murad on a trial basis in August to replace Martin “STYKO” Styk and Vlаdуslаv “bondik” Nеchуроrchuk. He was added to the roster a month later on a permanent basis.

LDLC will compete with Cloud9, Renegades, BIG, Tempo Storm, Counter Logic Gaming, NRG Esports and mousesports in the inaugural DreamHack Denver, a $100,000 event that runs Friday through Sunday. The competing roster for LDLC consists of Kevin “Ex6TenZ” Droolans, Antoine “to1nou” Pirard, Alex “ALEX” McMeekin, Mathieu “Maniac” Quiquerez, and Timothée “DEVIL” Démolon.
