Team EnVyUs and Phoenix1 had their applications rejected to join the North American League of Legends Championship Series (NA LCS), according to a report from ESPN.
Phoenix1 jungler Michael “MikeYeung” Yeung and Immortals coach Kim “Ssong” Sang-su took home awards for the top rookie and coach in the summer split of the North American League of Legends Championship Series.
Xpecial on his future: “I still want to play, but I’ve been playing for so long, I don’t mind trying other things…(playing more) depends on the opportunities that present themselves.”
It has been a rough summer for Phoenix1 in the North American League of Legends Championship Series, who looked much improved at the mid-split Rift Rivals tournament, but failed to continue that success upon returning to North America.
Arrow on his former team KT Rolster: “I hope they win summer, but more than that I hope they can win at worlds.”
AD carry Noh “Arrow” Dong-hyeon was the crown jewel of a Phoenix1 lineup that pushed its way to an unlikely third place finish in the North American League Championship Series spring split.
Phoenix1 has added Marcin “SELFIE” Wolski to its League of Legends roster, according to the team’s lolesports roster page.
P1 Zig: “The team environment could have been really bad if we let it, but (Pirean) is really positive and counteracts that.”

During Rift Rivals between North American and Europe, even Phoenix1’s players couldn’t quite account for the effectiveness of their quick and dirty invades and punishing dives.
Phoenix1 narrowly failed to qualify for the Rift Rivals final. At the close of group stage, mid laner Yoo “Ryu” Sang-wook talked to Slingshot’s Kelsey Moser (through an interpreter) about Phoenix1 finding a groove and a few differences between his time on H2K and his new NA team.
