Cpt. Jack: “I feel like I can show the fans an even better side of myself while on the casting desk.”

Kang “Cpt. Jack” Hyung-Woo, former AD Carry of Longzhu Gaming, is making his debut as a caster for the upcoming League Champions Korea summer split for Spo-TV’s Games, writes Daily eSports’ Lee Si-Woo.

Cpt. Jack said that he always really “wanted to try out casting before,” and wanted to grab the chance that came to him this time around.

“The reason I really wanted to try casting is because I wanted to share the joy and excitement with the fans through broadcasting,” he told Daily eSports in an interview. “I feel like I can show the fans an even better side of myself while on the casting desk.”

In the interview, he shared his experiences practicing by casting mock-games, and is working mostly on his talking ability such as pronunciation and voice projection, since he doesn’t fall behind in game knowledge.

When asked on the perception of biased casting, Cpt. Jack made it clear that he has no intention of doing so.

“Most of the concerns come from that angle of my debut,” he said. “But I don’t have the personality to have a biased view even with games with Longzhu. If my team were to make a mistake, I’ll be able to talk about it in a purely objective manner.”

He lastly thanked the fans for their support, and asked them to watch Spo-TV’s broadcasting so he can show them just how well he can cast games.

Cpt. Jack spent the spring split with the rebranded Longzhu and was previously on Incredible Miracle and the Jin Air Green Wings.
